Silverwood Miners Welfare first opened in May 1924 to host Silverwood Colliery meetings. In 1959 the building was expanded and offered a recreational opportunity to miners and their families.
Today the bar opens every evening and at lunchtime on Saturday and Sunday.
There is also a Business Resource Centre which offers meeting \ conference rooms for hire.
